My parents got her a Shoenhut Fancy Baby Grand (bright red!) for Hannukah. So, the above scene is pretty much standard morning stuff around here now.

Her two best pieces? Old McDonald (she sings and plays the E-I-E-I-O part over and over) and ever-moving Theme from Elmo’s World.

Oh, which reminds me ~ have you guys seen Melody Street? My friend Gilad is one of the guys responsible for it, so I’ve probably played it for Dee a million times looking for a reaction to report, but all of a sudden, these past few weeks it’s completely clicked for her. She’s cuckoo for all things Piano, and Melody Street is hands down Dee’s new favorite thing – awesome if you have a kiddo with the music bug like I do.
