As a “publisher”, I don’t want to be a pain in your asses by pushing content out over every possible channel all day long, in an effort to be heard above the blogging din. But I also don’t want you to forget about me because I’m not tweeting/facebooking/otherwise pinging you with my links multiple times a day.
I asked on Twitter if people thought Twitter had replaced their RSS readers and the answers overwhelmingly came back YES. So humor me a moment. And answer me these two questions:

So I read two ways through a reader and I have everything bookmarked on my computer. Sometimes (well most of the time) when I have time to burn i’ll just work my way through the bookmarked websites.
I subscribe through Google Reader, but I have the “next” button on my toolbar so I visit each blog at its own URL to read and comment. It means I never see partial feeds and I’m giving the blogger my pageview.
I read all my blogs vi Google Reader and can’t function any other way. I have them all labeled via topic. Tops, 2nd tiers, fashion, craft, etc. I like links tweeted but I use that primarily to discover new blogs because I don’t want to miss my favorites.
um, i feel old because i don’t even know wtf a reader is.
I have all my blog links saved in my favorites folder and I check them daily
I use Goggle Reader and read there when I’m on my phone – most of the day – but if I’m sitting at my computer, I use the “Next” button in my toolbar like Suzanne. And, if I want to leave a comment, I click through on my phone…
OMG Can I just tell you, I’ve been trying to subscribe to your blog for MONTHS. But every damn time it kept telling me there was a FeedBurner error, and then nada. I just tried it again, and it gave me the same message, but as I was going to finally leave you a comment and tell you it was happening, my computer started flashing like a strobe light with enough fury to induce an epileptic seizure. And then a beautiful thing happened, and up popped the screen to add you to my Google reader!
So I guess there is no problem anymore
But the error did ask me to inform the publisher, so here’s the error I have been getting for about 6 months, in case you wanna look into it.
Feed Address: http://feeds.feedburner.com/the818/XfhA
HTTP Error (Code) and Message: (404) Feed not found error: FeedBurner cannot locate this feed URI.
P.S. I am still boycotting the whole twitter thing. I can’t stand when people spam my Facebook feed, and I can’t imagine getting a bazillion tweets about the same thing a day. Some of the blogs I read are even starting to push it with upwards of 15 posts a day. I’m sure I’ll cave soon enough though.
HA! Glad it finally worked – thanks for letting me know!
I have your blog in my bookmarks, and click on it daily.
i used to check your blog everyday as i had it bookmarked, but then i discovered bloglovin’… hahah
maybe I am old school, but I read through a reader, and I hate that my twitter stream is clogged up by ‘go read my post about blah blah blah’ by the same people several times a day. The truth is, if I like your blog, I already have it saved somewhere, and seeing it over and over twitter just gets on my nerves.
Um…also…the above is not in reference to you…its just a rant about twitter in general. I dont like it very much.
i have the blogs i read saved under favourites in my firefox..lol.. old school?
To be fair, I read a LOT of blogs for work. But I also read a lot because I like blogs.
