Yesterday was horrendous. I was involved in an accident with a Motorcyclist on the freeway. I don’t think I should go into details about an open claim on the internet, but fuck that was the scariest experience of my life, having a human slam into my car. He’s okay. He was able to speak to us on the scene and eventually stood up and walked to the ambulance. Still…to keep myself from obsessing over that sickening image and it’s accompanying thoughts all day long ~ here are some beautiful things that I’m lusting after lately.
* * *
I already have a couch that I’m quite fond of, but if money was no object, I would have a ligne roset “togo” in my living room, but all in a clump like a sectional with an ottoman so it’s all filled in. Cozy.
But ligne-roset is for millionaires, I’m pretty sure. Z Gallery, and LA Furniture have varying degrees of regular people pricing on similar designs. I might have to go get a look at the LA Furniture version in person.
No, you are not looking at a model of my newest modern Pre-Fab obsession, this is the drool-worthy interior of Emerson House from Brinca Dada, the brain child of former ToysRUs development executive Douglas Rollins and Architect/Toy Enthusiast Tim Boyle. Like, you can have this in your house for your kids to play with (complete with solar panels and lighting) instead of…y’know, a less awesome version. And then if you’re married to Rick Moranis, you guys could shrink on down and live in a gorgeous home for a steal of a deal.
It’s a rocking horse. Or Elephant. Or Hippo. Or whatever you want it to be. It’s the Olga Rocker by Sibi and it’s flippin’ gorgeous and exactly what I’d want in my living room for Dee. Plus it looks kind of extra fun, for all it’s sleek modern-ness, doesn’t it?
I love this white lacquered Buck Head, also from Z Gallerie. No bucks were harmed in the making of this head. I know it’s weird, but I can’t help it – the heart wants what the heart wants. They also have a pretty sweet Rhino.
I plan to someday own this (and possibly every other) mobile in Salty and Sweet’s Etsy Shop. Amazeboobs.
