Super Friends

Last night I enjoyed a much needed evening of crafts with Sara, Amelia, and Jodi (I’m working on making my own Hooter Hiders – following the instructions seen HERE) and while my placenta brain prevented me from photographing any of the impressive projects my friends are working on (Jodi’s making gorgeous table runners for her upcoming nuptials, Sara was working on her intricate and adorable Twee Baby line while assisting me in my amateur sewing adventures, and Amelia is crafting some recycled envelopes from grocery bags which are bound to be swoon-worthy) it did inspire me to take a moment to proudly show off some of my loved ones creative endeavors, both online and beyond.

As mentioned above, Sara never fails to amaze me with her delicately hand crafted Twee Baby line, which includes everything from wool interlock longies and shorties (which are suitable to wear directly over a prefold or fitted diaper – no separate cover is required) as well as matching shirts and dresses, to custom coordinated crib bedding.    You can see more of her amazing work in her Flickr gallery HERE, before stopping by her shop HERE.

LEYENDECKER LOS ANGELES

Jessica, one of my oldest and dearest friends is featured in Japanese Vogue’s September issue for her brilliant and beautiful line of clothing which is currently available at boutiques across the country.  It’s called LEYENDECKER, and you can check it out HERE.   (That’s also the beautiful Jessica modeling the clothes above…clearly she’s the one that’s not Lindsey Lohan.)

BE SMART BE GREEN

My Sister-in-Law Maegan (when not busy as the tour de force behind the ever-popular fashion blog …lovemaegan) designs the adorable and eco-friendly shopping totes seen above.   You can get yours at BESMARTBEGREEN.COM. (My favorite is the 17 trees bag – I take it with me everywhere.)   They’re great for groceries, because they’re sturdy, and the straps fit over your shoulder, but I also used them as the out-of-town bags at my wedding, and they were a huge hit.

I STOMACH LA

Amelia – in addition to braving the complicated recipes us normal folk are too afraid to take on (and living to write about it on her educational and entertaining blog BON APPETEMPT) hand screens the clever line of T-Shirts pictured above (she has other cities available as well, and other non-stomach related awesome prints) which you can check out HERE.

My friend Alex is currently blogging for Beauty Banter, tracking down, discovering, and sharing great products week after week (this week she was kind enough to do a feature on my prenatal routine, and I’m still blushing!)

And my collaborator and colleague the talented and hilarious Shawn Ku put together this spoof trailer for ORPHAN 2: My Two Dads, which shouldn’t be missed:
