I am a dork. But I’m good at sale-shopping.

So I had like $40 left on a gift certificate to Urban Outfitters, and I had some time to kill last week sans baby, and since I’m starting to near a size and shape somewhat resembling my own again, I decided to treat myself to a favorite old past time, and pick through the sale racks at ‘ol UB.

I’ve been shopping at Urban Outfitters since I was like, 12 years old (so…maybe I should reconsider continuing to do so?) and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that everything they stock goes on sale.   Like, MAJOR.   So when I’m looking to feed my clothes habit without breaking the bank, it’s kind of my go-to.    And this particular visit, I struck gold because everything was on extra-super-duper fire sale (50% off already slashed prices ~ woot!) in preparation for the holidays.   So I thought, “I should share these awesome finds with my friends on the internet.”  But then I thought “oh my god, you are so awkward in front of a camera.”

So I decided to just lay all my new finds out on the bed and take pictures of them that way.

Except, I forgot – I’m a terrible photographer.   So here’s what we ended up with:

A) It’s blurry.   B) It’s overexposed.  C) My sheets are horribly wrinkled & I didn’t think to clean the bedside.   Stupid, Morgan.   SUCH an amateur.

Plus, who the fuck can tell what those clothes look like?   All spread out on my bed and blurry and shit.   Ridiculous.

So then I thought maybe I’d put the clothes on.

Again, massive fail.   Dog beds & dryer balls on the floor, stupid shoes, standing like it’s 1994, and for the love of all that is holy, how did it not occur to me to PUT ON A BRA?!  {Let alone makeup.}   And wait…what’s that?  Yes…this one is blurry too.

It was at this point that I realized that my $35 of new [final-sale] one-step-above lounge clothes, while exciting to me, were probably not worthy of a so-called outfit post.    So I kind of gave up-ish.

But I don’t like feeling like a quitter, so here’s the rundown of my purchases anyway:

Silence and Noise Dress ~ $9.98

Silence and Noise Tunic ~ $4.98

BDG Slim Fit Boyfriend Jeans ~ $4.98 {Scott keeps making fun of these…and actually I think Eric and Alex have both mocked them as well, but I think they are rad.}

1778 Straw Hat ~ $2.50 {the clear winner of the day!}

Super cozy sweater that is already buried at the bottom of the laundry pile so I can’t tell you who makes it ~ $9.98

Total purchases:  Like $32!!!

Wowza!   So I bought a lip gloss to burn the rest of the gift certificate.

{Anyway sorry to subject you to such terrible photos but in an effort to learn how to use my camera, I’m outing myself for how truly crappy of a photographer I am.}
