Chevron Rug Sexy Party

Oh, the things I would do to this Citrine Zig Zag rug from DwellStudio aren’t even funny.  I’d settle for the medium sized one, but what I really dream about tossing under my living room couch and transforming the whole room (big plans, guys…BIG plans…) is the super ultra mega-sized version.  So pretty.  So modernly throw-back-y.  Plus when I get sick of it it would look great in a future kids’ room. {Also available in Lapis.}

Overstock’s got this similarly woven Kilim design (although I’d have to exacto those tassels right off for my purposes) it’s impressively low price is quite appealing.

Also on Overstock is this Alexa Tufted Chevron Rug.  It’s thicker, a wool rug, vs. Dwell & Kilim’s woven versions, but I do like the fact that it’s missing the thick black edging that plagues it’s slimmer patterned Chevron-Inspired Zebra sister.

Then there is this heart-stoppingly awesome DIY from Carissa at The Fabulous Design File.  I almost lost the cheesecake I had for breakfast (in a good way) when I saw it.  It turned out amazing.

Jessie of Cape 27’s painted rug yielded equally stunning results in blue.

I’m not quite ready to take the plunge yet, but I know that my next home-design purchase {or lunatic DIY tackle…which you know if I do it will be in multicolors like a crazy person} will be a giant, most likely colorful statement rug.  The Chevron print feels pretty classic and safe to me…what do you think?  Buy or DIY?

{Uh, and did you happen to read this post about the girl who tattooed Degrassi star turned hip-hopper Drake’s name on her forehead?  You really must.}
