Casual Fridays: Blogging Life Is Hard And I’m Freaking Exhausted.

This week has done me in good. I’m wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and my favorite lounge pants that Scott gave me for Christmas the year we got married, but I can’t take a picture for you right now. I’ve started working out again (mostly for my mind; specifically that I don’t go insane from self-body-loathing this summer. And also anxiety.) and then I came home from my work out the other day all amped like Hulk on steroids and decided to lift my couch a few times while unrolling a 12×12 area rug. Don’t even ask. Anyway, point being I’m on too many muscle relaxers to trust myself setting up my camera and stuff. Maybe when Scott gets home I can get him to help me. Priorities.

But I do really dig this lounge-wear chic maxi dress from ASOS:

So that’s kind of the same. Also, I can’t believe I live in a world where my avatar is something I talk about on even a remote semi-regular basis, but here we are.

e7ee111b78ac90ca381376bfb6f67f8dI like how people are getting creative with their avatars for this issue. I’m inspired as a human that so many people have continued to want to show their support even as they change their social media symbols back to their own faces (or what nots.) And yes, I do believe that this is one of those rare times where “inactively” changing your avatar does actually stand a chance of making a difference. My friend Deb wrote an incredible post about that very issue, and I hope you’ll read what she had to say.

Totally unrelated, elsewhere in blogland, my internet-turned-real-life-friend Laura’s house (of Hollywood Housewife, if you don’t read her consider starting) was featured on Design Mom’s always addictive and drool-worthy “Living With Kids” series this week, and it is so gorgeous, you have to go look. Go on, I’ll wait.

Lastly, as I mentioned I’ve started working out again. So this video of Walrus doing Sit-Ups to “Eye Of The Tiger” was kind of exactly what I needed to see to feel less horrible at the reflection I have to see in the mirror while I sweat off my own extra lbs.

Oh wait, actually lastly: Mrs. Jenna’s Pop Culture Horoscope is my new favorite.

Happy Friday!
