Sophie McHounderson died Sunday after a long battle with doorbells and vacuum cleaners. (Her body was also riddled with cancer, but that didnt get her down much.) She spent her final days eating McDonalds cheeseburgers, singing harmonies with fire engines, and burying stuff in the yard. She wants her brother Otis to know that if he digs that shit up she will haunt him for life.
Sophie was born in an abandoned building in the Bronx in 2001 and raised by college students who fed her lo mein, so it’s really a miracle she lasted as long as she did. While she was here she taught us about being awesome, beating the odds, and how a good howl can solve everything.
Sophie is survived by her seven humans, including her live-in family Delilah, Morgan, and Scott, and her two dog siblings Stinkerbell and Otis who are lost without the medium to their large and small. (Except Otis who is already outside digging up Sophie’s stuff.)
