During my aimless eBay searching this morning, I stumbled across this piece. I can’t afford this piece, nor do I have anywhere to put it. I also have no idea how I stumbled into a search for this item, but when I saw it, I fell instantly in love.

Maybe it’s because it personifies everything I love about the 60’s – the era that put the fun back in functionality – or maybe it’s because just yesterday I was contemplating a good hiding spot for my newest prized possession…either way there’s a little voice in my head telling me that it would be TOTALLY FINE to spend part of that hard-earned down payment we’ve got sacked away and buy this little slice of teak heaven, because really…what good is a swanky new house if you don’t have a super-awesome secret hiding spot lockable mid-century corner unit bar thingy to go in it?
