Okay, well, it was for my wedding, and as the time creeps up that I was preparing for my nupts (both last year and this year, since I’ve now been married for a WHOPPING two years!) I find myself getting a little nostalgic for the days of tear-sheets and hand-sewn programs. (And I am reminded that I really need to order my wedding album!)
Cleaning up my old hard drive lead me to the above pull outs from the 2007 J Crew Catalogue, all of which made it on to my crazy bridal inspiration board (but none of which made it into my actual wedding…Scott apparently doesn’t share my enthusiasm for Seersucker) so I decided to check out what J Crew Weddings has going on this season, and I was not disappointed.
I’ve always loved the look of mismatched bridesmaid dresses (we got ours from Jenny Yoo) and J Crew’s Cotton Cady is one of the greatest materials I have ever worn. I’ve bought a couple of their dresses now for friend’s weddings, and I’ve managed to wear each of them again and again.
Other wedding stuff to check out?
The Knot Wedding Shop is currently having a sale on their attendant gifts at up to 60% off. They actually have some pretty cool stuff for Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. Click HERE to check it out.
Also, I fell hard for these headbands while I was in Anthropologie with [my four year old niece] Eva a few weeks ago. She went nuts for them, so it’s the kind of thing you might actually get your flowergirl to wear, but they’re definitely suitable for adults, too!
