I Need Black Wedges (Yes, I Do Mean Need.)

I never buy new shoes. Like, EVER. Because the investment terrifies me, and I want to pick good ones. Which kind of makes outfits hard because while I have a closet full from my serious shopaholic days, my feet grew two sizes in pregnancy and I don’t have the pain tolerance to suck it up.

Anyway, it has become apparent that a pair of black wedges will pull my whole closet together. So my search has begun. Help me, friends and lurkers. I’m fickle and weak when it comes to shopping, and especially bad with shoes.

From Dolce Vita’s DV line, the Jude is a strong contender.

Jeffrey Campbell’s Darien makes my heart go pitter patBut also might make my ankles look fat.

I have this pair in tan (complete with Otis’ teeth marks…little f*cker) but I love them so much I kind of want to get them in black too.

Capri’s Vegan Mini Wedge.  Rowr.

Okay, so these Kelsey Mules also by Jeffrey Campbell clearly aren’t black, but I love them.  They do come in black, but they kinda don’t look as cool.   Also considering the Drea Mule which are black.

I’m open to ideas. Also, when do you buy payless and when do you go full-tilt on footwear?  I think Black Wedges are probably one of those classic things you want to invest in, right?

Also not black, but I saw them and thought you’d like them, too:http://shop.tenover6.com/collections/women-shoes/products/atsina-wedge

LOVE the first pair – I can’t believe they’re only $66. Buy them immediately.

Boots I think need to be more expensive because there is a larger amount of leather and you need them to hold up to the elements. Sandals you can go cheap. TJ Maxx is a great for shoes.

the second ones are supposed to be really uncomfy if you want to wear them for a while…invest in these ones :) black wedges will be a staple – have a look on shopbop mainly and also asos, saks is always good for footwear as well :)

I vote 1, 4 and 5.Buy all three. Yup.I do Payless for trendy, seasonal stuff. Shoes I want to last – in classic styles – are always full(ish) tilt.
