It’s often that posts of mine get stuck in the mental pipeline behind other posts because I have this order of how things happened, and who I promised what to, and what it says on the editorial calendar Lindsey keeps trying to get me to use, and probably seven times out of ten those stuck in the pipeline posts never see the light of day.
This blog is really frequently updated in my mind you guys. And it’s pretty damn good, if I do say so myself. I just wish you could see it.
But this post? This post can’t wait. The Internet is so crazy amazing, and you friends are so crazy amazing, and WE’VE RAISED OVER $155,000.00 for Postpartum Progress. That is going to help so many Moms, and there is still a full week left to donate (oh, and um, to enter our awesome raffle with some amazing prizes).
We were lucky to have two documentarians on our hike, one of whom (that Lindsey, she’s amazing) turned around this video of our day lightning fast (the other is doing a long-form doc on PPD which I can’t wait to see) and it brings chills to my arms and tears to my eyes. And it’s not just movie magic. I found such unexpected inspiration on the dark and treacherous road through PPD and the one hope I have for the Mamas who are currently trudging through is that not only is there light at the end of their tunnel, but new strength and perspective they never could have imagined.
Thank you to those who have donated. Thank you to those who have shared our story. Thank you to those who have yet to do so. More thanks than there are words to the women who hiked with me on Saturday, my fellow Warrior Moms across the world, and of course, the eternally fierce Katherine Stone. THANK YOU.
