Two years ago today, I peed on generic brand pregnancy test and it came up positive. This is what I posted to my (then brand new) blog while waiting for Scott to return home:

Scott and I will be celebrating our first deca-dating-versary on Feb 19th (that’s 10 years together.) [Note: it will be TWELVE FREAKING years this week.] Having a {dating} anniversary that’s so close to V-day, we tend to skip the hallmark holiday altogether in our household. In honor of that great tradition, here are some of the highlights from last year’s World Beard and Mustache Competition in Brighton, England. Enjoy.
[Hi, it’s present day me again. While those mustaches are clearly fabulous, you know what’s different about Valentine’s Day since this post was written? This is so dorky, but I kind of feel that DEE is our little Valentine to celebrate on this day. Because that day in 2009 was the best, and most terrifying, life-altering valentines ever. And even with all the trials and tribulations and craziness that followed? I wouldn’t trade getting to kiss my little Valentine good morning today as she greeted me with an enormous grin for all the sunny, uncomplicated days in the world.]
