I asked for rocks for Mother’s Day. Instead what I got was one of the most relaxing and charming afternoons of family fun I could have ever hoped for. And my parent’s haven’t even arrived with the pulled pork yet.
Oh, and I did get my rocks. And in the process, since our yard is where grass goes to die, Dee’s getting a sandbox and a play deck to go on top of it when it’s not in use. Scott’s brilliant design. Oh, and while the sandbox is in the shady part of our yard, my clever hubby designed a little hammock spot for me to watch her play and do my reading in the sun. That’s what those two tree-like poles are for. We’re highly considering doing THIS to the rest of it.
I’m so grateful to finally truly mean it and say: Family life is totally kicking ass right now.
