Yup, I Could Totally Use A Stylist All The Time.

This is what I look like shopping for myself:

A hot mess, you guys. A hot, hot mess. And not the good kind of hot. The sweaty kind of hot that you don’t want trying on clothes before you.

Next week, I’ll be heading to Salt Lake City for a quick stint speaking at the Altitude Design Summit, which is hands down one of the fanciest, most fashion-forward and stylish places I go during the course of a year, as you may recall. So this past week has been a frenzy of thrifting/shopping/borrowing/swapping as I try to gather myself a winter wardrobe worthy of such an event. (Also something green for the main evening event, thus, the sparkly number up above, which did not fit over my hips, sadly.)

Anyway all this shopping has made me nostalgic for the days when Tog + Porter dressed me fabulously (aka, the last few speaking engagements I had) and preparing was basically as easy as taking a shower. MAN those girls are goodAlthough sending items back you don’t like is totally part of their service, I’ve never actually done that. I’ve loved everything they’ve sent me.

To see what it looks like when someone picks out all of your clothes for you and all you have to do is put them in your suitcase (or your closet, it’s not only for trips) check out this super dorky video of me playing fashion show with the ever-talented Tog + Porter stylist Maureen, put together for me by my friends at A2ZBoost.

Not only are Tog + Porter style geniuses, but they recently produced a short film, which is kind of blowing my mind. You can check out the trailer below…
