I don’t think I brag about this little ray of sunshine nearly enough. She’s my littlest niece and she is just a crazy crackup who I miss every single day.
Her big Sister is a sensitive little creature, and we’ve always had a very special thing going. Little Lo’s got thick skin and is ready to take on the world ~ even taking her sister’s place in the big kid’s ballet class when Big E decided she was feeling a bit too shy that day. She’s a monkey. A crazy wild adorable mop-top monkey and I can’t wait to see what kind of fire this kid’s gonna set to the world.
Anyway, these are her preschool class photos, which my sister sent me last night, courtesy of {the obviously very talented} Bay Area photographer Kari Odell, and I totally freaked out when I saw them, so I had to share them with you guys.

Also, my Shae sweater arrived this morning, and it is super fierce (and by “fierce” I mean cozy, practical, and moderately flattering.) And because I am a glutton for punishment ~ here’s another godawful shot of me wearing it, and also a shot of my new $2.50 hat, because I’m still pretty psyched about that one. And I’m getting better. I put on a bra. (Albeit, a sports bra stuffed with cabbage leaves but still…sexy, right?)
And also:
WE HAVE A WALKER!

Oh, and lastly but not leastly, THANKS TO YOU GUYS (or at least a few of you guys!) The818.com was nominated for Best Baby Blog in TheBump.com’s 2nd annual Mommy Blog Awards. I was slaughtered like pig in last year’s competition for Best Pregnancy Blog, and as is par for the course, I’m pretty low in the rankings this year as well.
So if you can find it in your hearts to vote for The818 ~ there’s no sign-up needed or anything, just a click, and you can vote as many times as you like. So, uh….Yes We Can? Please?
