Feeling the Love.

It’s an incredible feeling when the people that you love all come together to support you.    Yesterday, my friends and family threw me the most beautiful baby shower I could have ever asked for.   It was amazing to spend a day giggling and sharing excitement with so many of my loved ones – after a busy summer getting ready for baby, we finally had a chance to relax and catch up with everyone over amazing food, lemonade, and the most insane dessert layout you’ve ever seen.

The hostesses took incredible care to personalize the day – and I’m welling up just thinking about the thought and love that went into details like making sure there were bowls of my favorite candy (peppermint taffy – which isn’t easy to find!) and passing out mini-cones of Baskin-Robbins Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream (the dairy love of my life.)   Each table had centerpieces that were both adorable and functional, a Dodgers themed table in honor of Scott’s boys in blue, insuring that our little girl knows where her loyalties lie, a bath themed table that had our names spelled out in foam bath letters, and a Book themed table that featured some of my favorites from when I was a kid, to name a few.   (Here’s where I kick myself for taking exactly zero photos – I was way too overwhelmed by everything for that – if anyone has photos they want to share with me though, please send ’em!)

So before my hormones turn me into a crazed blubbering mess, I just want to say THANK YOU one million times over to our friends and family – both those who were there, and those who couldn’t be, for showering Scott and I, and our little baby to be, in so much love (and such wonderful presents.)   This kid is lucky to have each and every one of you in her life.

(That picture is the aftermath in our living room, before Maegan organized the hell out of it – another thing I’m incredibly grateful for.)
